13th Annual Business to Business Trade Show — Breakfast registration is required.

The B to B Chamber Breakfast will be held at the new Bates College Dining Hall in the Commons, off Central Avenue. The facility has many eco-friendly features, including energy-efficient appliances and carpeting made from recycled materials.

Keynote Speaker:

Robert H. Gardiner is a principal with Independence Wind LLC, a Maine company developing large-scale wind power projects in Maine and New England. Independence Wind identifies favorable locations for wind development, supervises the engineering, permitting, construction and operation of such facilities, and builds public acceptance for wind power. The company also organizes project teams and mobilizes investors interested in becoming involved in this rapidly expanding business.

Gardiner has served as president of the Maine Public Broadcasting Corporation (1988-2002), as Maine Advocacy Center Director for the Conservation Law Foundation (2004-2006), and as Director of Maine’s Bureau of Public Lands (1983-1987). He has also served as the Chairman of the National Wildlife Federation, Vice Chairman of the national Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and member of the Central Maine Power Company Board of Directors.
