Hospitals St. Mary's Regional Medical Center Part of the Sisters of Charity Health System, St. Mary's offers state-of-the-art technology with a holistic approach. Saint Mary's staffs the Neuroscience & Spine Center, offering a coordinated, collaborative approach for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders; a Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Chamber, a single-patient chamber that delivers 100% oxygen to patients in an environment of increased atmospheric pressure; a Sleep Disorders Lab, equipped with technology dedicated to the diagnosis of breathing-related sleep disorders; and a modern Angiography Lab, with the latest in computer-enhanced angiography producing crystal-clear video images of the body's internal workings. St Mary's also provides the most comprehensive behavioral medicine program in central Maine. In addition, St. Mary's offers numerous psychiatric services for adults, adolescents and children, as well as substance abuse treatment.
Central Maine Medical Center CMMC combines high-tech with high touch. Highlights of CMMC's offerings are its Physical Rehabilitation Center, which provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for those who have experienced a loss of function due to injury or illness; Diabetes Education Services, with certified specialists providing private counseling sessions or small group classes for diabetics and their families; the Central Maine Imaging Center, an affiliate providing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services; the Cynthia A. Rydholm Cancer Treatment Center, which houses state-of-the-art equipment for the radiation treatment of cancer; and Arbor House, offering overnight accommodations to cancer patients and/or those who accompany them. CMMC maintains a cancer registry and collects, analyzes and manages data concerning people who have been diagnosed with a malignant tumor.
